Let the Countdown Begin

Jummah Mubarak, sis! The countdown to Ramadan has begun! This sacred month, filled with revelation, forgiveness, virtues, blessings, and more, is upon us. While the weather outside may not be particularly inviting, let us remember that the best time of the year is approaching. Ramadan serves as a profound reminder of our Muslim faith and the guiding light that leads us through life’s ups and downs.

During this blessed month, we will cherish the company of our loved ones, host and join Iftars, and engage in acts of charity. However, it is equally important to dedicate more time to our spiritual growth. We will spend more time in the Quran, seeking its wisdom and guidance. We will visit the masjid more frequently, seeking solace and strength in prayer. And we will strive to recite the names of Allah more often, filling our hearts with reverence and devotion.

To ensure a successful Ramadan, it is crucial to plan ahead. Do not let this month pass you by without making a plan. When you fail to plan, you risk planning to fail. Be intentional about your goals and create S.M.A.R.T. objectives that align with your aspirations. Hold yourself accountable for your actions and seek divine guidance as you embark on this beautiful journey.

As we approach this sacred month, let us make dua for success and blessings. May Allah grant us the strength, wisdom, and compassion to navigate the challenges that lie ahead. May we find peace, harmony, and inner fulfillment in this blessed month and beyond.

Surah Al-Qadr | 97:1

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ sent this ˹Quran˺ down on the Night of Glory.

We eagerly anticipate the final ten nights of Ramadan, but let’s delve into the profound significance of this sacred period. The night of revelation, when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (saw), not only transformed the course of history but also holds a special place in the lives of all believers. It is a night of abundant blessings, when angels descend in abundance, bestowing upon us divine grace and mercy. As the angels descend, they surround the circles of Dhikr, displaying utmost respect for the seekers of knowledge. The imagery of this blessed moment is one that we all strive to witness, though we may not physically see the angels, let us know that their presence is undeniable. This night is a celebration of the blessed ummah and the greatness that has come, is present, and will continue to come. May we all reach Ramadan with utmost devotion and we pray that our fasts, prayers, and acts of worship are accepted and multiplied. Allahuma Ameen

Don’t wait until Ramadan to begin your reconnecting with the Quran. Begin now.
