Ayat Reflection | Al-Furqan (25:74)

˹They are˺ those who pray, “Our Lord! Bless us with ˹pious˺ spouses and offspring who will be the joy of our hearts, and make us models for the righteous.”

Children bring immense joy during childhood and, as they grow into adults, they provide comfort and support to their parents. Their benefits extend beyond this world; they also play a significant role in the afterlife through their prayers (du’aa’) for their parents. Thus, children are not only a source of joy and rewards in this life but also in the hereafter.

The child of today will become the parent of future generations. It’s crucial that they are raised with a sense of responsibility and awareness, as they will need to uphold the rights of others. That’s why God has outlined these rights clearly and made them mandatory for everyone.

Parents have the duty to impart the true teachings of Islam to the next generation. To ensure that our loved ones lead a peaceful life and secure a better place in the afterlife, it is essential to guide them on the right path.

Halaqah Wrap-Up | Halaqah Tingz Too”

Presented by Asha Kabirou, M.S.

“Halaqah Tingz Too”

Our recent halaqah was designed just for the little ones! We had a blast with Arabic letter memory games, played "Red Light, Green Light" with Islamic trivia, enjoyed food bingo to distinguish halal from haram foods, and had a great time with tug of war and more. Most importantly, we inspired the children as they prepared to go back to school, emphasizing the significance of being proud Muslim kids. We reminded them that they are special and deserve excellence. Through all the fun, we equipped them with the tools they need to succeed in school.

To further support their journey, each child was sent home with school supplies and a ring booklet filled with positive thoughts to carry them throughout the school year. Feel free to download yours today and continue nurturing this spirit of learning and faith at home.

We also encourage parents to carry on this spirit of inspiration and excellence, reinforcing these values and supporting their children’s educational journey. Together, let’s keep the torch of learning and faith burning brightly!
